   How the heck did you get such a good sound out of the violin while holding it like that??? It should completely dampen the tone :-/

   @teddychenghonlam he’s clearly a cello player so the easiest way for him to play the violin is to treat it like a cello. As to him not knowing how to play a violin, I think the video disproves that in the strongest possible terms.

    he probably learned the cello so well that playing the violin seemed familiar. then he just pursued to fine tune the his violin skills. hence an upright violin playing method :]

    @teddychenghonlam It could also have been to show personal style. like say wearing a different color shirt than would the mainstream for self expression. Either way, Wells Cunningham knows how to play the violin and does it exceedingly well. He is simply HOLDING it a different way. I think that’s agreeable.

    @teddychenghonlam He very well knows how to play the violin. If he didn’t he couldn’t have played this piece. It could be argued that he doesn’t know how to HOLD the instrument, but of course he knows how to play it. Even so, I think that his posture where the violin was concerned was more for showing of style than anything. Like for instance, the fact that with him playing it the way he is here, you can see his fingerings clearly, and his bowing patterns.
