@n3m0otter Mountain dulcimer…wonderful. You don’t need to read music to play it. It is all tab I have taught kids as young as 5 at festivals.

That was beautiful! I have been debating about getting one for one of my daughters to play. She already knows violin, mandolin, and a little bit of guitar and she wants to learn as many stringed instruments as possible. So far, mandolin is her favorite. Do you think that a dulcimer would be difficult for her to learn?

@bugisami haha, they’re not random. They’re set up Diatonic. Now adays you can get them in several different fret set ups including chromatic, but if they were spaced randomly it would sound like garbage and be virtually unplayable.
