Planxty Fluharty

An original Hammer Dulcimer instrumental. I posted a foreshortened version from a live radio studio gig about a year ago and wanted to re-do it a bit longer. I tried to put the camera close to the instrument, but it still appears blurry. I won an award for this song in 2004 at the Mid Atlantic Songwriting Contest The prize was free mastering of any album at Omega Studios in Washington DC. My CD Scarecrow’s Lament was professionally mastered there for free!!! Thanks for listening.

Foldable GuQin Dulcimer from The Mighty Q

GuQin Foldable dulcimer – This is a custom instrument I built for a gentleman that is loosely based upon an ancient Chinese instrument called a GuQin. Notice the Harmonic Node Markers instead of fret dots and the fact that it is fretless. Features: • Fretless • Harmonic Node Markers • Steinberger Locking Headless Tuners • Pickups in the Bridge AND the Nut • Patent Applied For bridge plate with Ghost Piezo saddles • Master volume to control both the bridge and the nut at the same time • Volume control placed to allow Volume Swells with the thumb • Folds in half to make it small enough to fit in carry-on luggage (Folded Size: 17″ long x 7.5″ wide x 5.5″ tall) From Quintin Stephens at Stephens Musical Instruments www.DulciCaster.com
